  • The course gives the student an excellent overview of contract drafting techniques from a practical point of view and aims to teach the essential skills of writing clear documents whilst explaining core legal vocabulary and phrases

  • Essential Anglo- American contract skills
  • Plan Legal English drafting techniques
  • Standard structure of commercial contracts
  • Using indemnities, warranties and guarantees to structure contractual risk
  • Liquidated damages – when to use and drafting
  • Use of boilerplate clauses
  • Conditions precedent and levels of obligations
  • NDA’s
  • Drafting termination clauses

Assessment:
  • Students must attend all sessions to gain the certificate in Contract and Legal Document Drafting.
  • There are no exams or assignments.
Course Fee:
  • 500 euros
  • Payable over 4 month instalments.
  • This cost covers all teaching materials
  • Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or cash.
Admission Requirements:
  • Students must have completed the Level 3 Certificate in Paralegal Practice OR
  • Studied Contract law previously OR
  • Be a qualified Advocate with less than 3 years practical experience. OR
  • Have proven experience with contract law .
